Steve Majors

Vice President, Communications

Steve Majors is a senior communications professional and media strategist with a diverse background in journalism, public relations and national nonprofit communications.  Steve’s expertise in media relations was developed by his experiences as a TV  producer, first in major markets across the country, and then in New York where  he held successive leadership positions at CNBC, MSNBC and NBC’s Weekend TODAY show.

His work as a public relations practitioner began in New Orleans where he served as vice president of a public relations firm that helped Fortune 500 companies, institutions and public agencies rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. His commitment to social justice led him to Washington DC where he most recently served as director of communications for a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the rights of LGBT families.

Steve is a graduate of Clarkson University and received his master’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University. He lives in suburban Maryland with his partner, Todd, and their two daughters, Claudia and Shoshana.
