CIS Rings in 40 Years of Success at NYSE Opening Bell

April 17, 2017

Communities In Schools (CIS) President & CEO Dale Erquiaga alongside CIS leaders, students and site coordinators from Georgia and Pennsylvania rang the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to celebrate the organization’s 40 years of being #AllinforKids. Since opening in 1977, CIS works inside schools to empower at-risk students to achieve and succeed in life.

“One of the founding principles of Communities In Schools is to help students complete school with the tools and resources they need to be successful after graduation," said Erquiaga. "As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are reminded that there is more work to be done to break the cycle of poverty and empower more students to create better lives, better communities and a better world.”
