Academic Assistance

We are working hard to make sure that kids who need extra academic intervention receive it.

As a sixth-grader, Hector was struggling to stay interested and engaged at school – and had report cards full of D’s to show for it.

CIS Site Coordinator Xochitl advocated for Hector, making sure that teachers were on top of the issues and meeting weekly with him to make sure he was staying on the path to success.

Hector is confident and focused at school, receives A’s and B’s in the classes he struggled with before and is planning on studying engineering in college.
