Communities In Schools to Host National Leadership Conference for School Educators, Administrators and Policy Experts

Communities In Schools® (CIS®), the nation’s leading provider of K-12 school-based integrated student supports (ISS), will host its 2025 Leadership Town Hall (LTH) in Indianapolis, November 10-12.
Leadership Town Hall is an annual in-person convening designed for executives, board members, alumni leaders and school practitioners from across the CIS Network to connect around best practices and innovative methods that focus on the academic and non-academic needs of students. With approximately 330 participants, this year’s event features daily activations and interactive breakout discussions.
The theme, Present and Persistent, reflects CIS’ commitment to being present in schools and persistent in its mission to support student success at more than 3,500 schools and organizations nationwide.
Communities In Schools recognizes that, as the leading provider of integrated student supports, we must maintain our commitment to excellence and innovation. This November, we are grateful to gather during a year of milestones, programmatic achievements, and changes in the education policy landscape. We are proud to have some of the brightest minds in public education, and Leadership Town Hall is an opportunity to convene those thought leaders for three days of connection and commitment to the work.

Leadership Town Hall will deliver mainstage moments featuring student performances, keynote speeches, captivating panels and appearances by local and national thought leaders including:

- Dr. Katie Jenner, Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education
- William Milliken, Founder and Vice Chairman, CIS National
- Rob Watson, Jr., Executive Director, EdRedesign
- Donna Weiss, Chair, National Board of Directors, CIS National
Leadership Town Hall is presented in collaboration with the All In for Students Awards, taking place on November 11. The All In for Students Awards is an annual national recognition and celebration of the individuals and partners working to make a significant impact in schools and communities across the country.
Since 2007, these awards have celebrated the dedication of alumni, staff, education and funding partners, legislative representatives, business and community leaders, and others who have advanced the CIS mission: to connect students in need with a caring adult who helps them stay in school and succeed in life.

Leadership Town Hall will also serve as an opportunity to spotlight a record number of affiliate organizations celebrating anniversaries this year, including CIS of Brunswick County, CIS of Cameron County, CIS of Cape Fear, CIS of Central Texas, CIS of Charlotte-Mecklenburg, CIS of the Dallas Region, CIS of East Texas, CIS of El Paso, CIS of Glynn County, CIS of Greater King County, CIS of San Antonino, CIS of South King County, CIS of the Tri-Cities, VOA of North Louisiana.
This year’s conference will be the last national gathering before Communities In Schools celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2027. Leadership Town Hall serves as an opportunity to reflect on the successes of this year and an invitation to look towards the future and the legacy that CIS continues to build.
