A Boost of Confidence Helped Zoe Soar
As a quiet middle schooler, Zoe struggled with anxiety and low self-esteem, and school often felt overwhelming.
In fall 2023, she was connected with site coordinator Deanna Fox. Though hesitant at first, Zoe slowly opened up, and Deanna became a trusted, safe support during moments of anxiety or anger.
"Every time I’m upset, I know I can email her and see her if I need to. Ms. Fox was always there, she tells the truth, and she is very thorough. She really helped me find coping strategies to keep going like listening to music or breathing exercises."
Learn How We Are Present for Students
When Students Get What They Need, They Thrive
Our latest Annual Report shows how integrated student supports (ISS), our proven, evidence-based model, helps students succeed. We partner with schools to connect students and families to our powerful network of resources and supports. When CIS site coordinators work inside schools, students get what they need when they need it, teachers can focus on teaching, and administrators can focus on operating the school.
