2021-2022 Communities In Schools Data Book
Our Data Book tells the inspiring tale of our collective continuous recovery from the pandemic for our schools, students, families, and the communities we serve. During the 2021-2022 school year, we actively addressed post-pandemic learning setbacks in the 3,270 schools we support. Throughout this time, we recognized the continued reliance on technology not only for educating students but also for maintaining relationships and creating new personal connections.
CIS was called on by educators to reach out into the communities of our 1.8 million students to provide support for healing, reconnecting, and re-engaging in learning. A remarkable team of over 4,700 dedicated CIS professionals working across 114 organizations, including 3 licensed partnerships in 25 states and the District of Columbia, showed up every day to ensure students physical, social, emotional, and academic needs were met. The most intensive support was provided to 185,300 students, with additional support provided to over 300,000 parents/guardians across the network.
