As an organization with over 40 years of experience empowering young people to realize their full potential, we know that every child holds tremendous promise. Working directly inside schools across the country, we connect youth to caring adults and community resources designed to help them succeed. For the nearly 1.6 million students we serve, these connections have the power to help them change the trajectory of their lives.
To achieve our vision, we must be bold. We must be relentless advocates for youth, drive the national conversation, reimagine the potential of education to transform lives, and change the widespread systems that hold young people back. It’s not enough to help young people navigate the systemic and structural barriers that are obstacles to their success. We must strive to eliminate these barriers permanently and create the conditions of equity that young people need and deserve.
