CIS Alumna Kùniya Young

Meet Kùniya Young, a 2018 graduate and proud Communities In Schools of the Nation's Capital alumna from Washington, D.C.

As a member of the CIS Alumni Advisory Council, Kùniya brings a perspective rooted in purpose, community, and creating opportunities for others.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?

Within the next five years, I plan to complete my education and continue building upon the career I am developing in social media and community engagement. I also hope to step more intentionally into ministry work and create spaces where people feel supported, connected, and encouraged.

What does the future of CIS alumni look like?

The future of CIS alumni is cultivating the lives of those who came before us, walking alongside those who are with us, and creating opportunities for those who come after us.
