Dr. Heather Clawson serves as Chief Innovation and Program Officer at Communities In Schools, where she works to expand the network's data-driven practices, strengthen the organization's evidence base, and identify and scale innovation and best practices across the network.
Prior to joining CIS, Dr. Clawson spent 15 years as a research consultant at ICF International, managing and conducting research and program evaluations across education, juvenile justice, victim services, and child welfare. She also served five years as Principal Investigator for the National Evaluation of Communities In Schools.
Dr. Clawson holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from James Madison University.
