Rey Saldaña Appears on ABC News Live to Discuss How the Pandemic Revealed the Racial Equity Gap in Education

Communities In Schools® (CIS®) is currently celebrating our graduating seniors around the country, but it is important to also acknowledge the many students who have not reached this milestone due to extenuating circumstances. As the United States recently surpassed 1 million COVID-19 deaths, it is important to assess how the pandemic has affected our youth and continues to do so. Rey Saldaña, National President and CEO of Communities In Schools, appeared on ABC News Live to discuss the many challenges students, especially those of color, face and how these challenges have been amplified by the pandemic.
